It’s been called the most extraordinary dining experience in
Southern California. “Phenomenal Italian Cuisine… Works of Art… Wonderfully
Romantic... Masterpiece” raves Zagat. The New York Times hails “the
fashion plate of the season is not a model but a dish served at the Anaheim
White House. The Romeo Gigli Salmon.” And as this national landmark embarks on its centennial,
it becomes quite clear: the Anaheim White House Restaurant is a local favorite,
a visitor’s premier choice, and a meal here will undoubtedly be one of most magical
moments of your stay in Orange County.
OC’s Hidden Treasure One look at the Anaheim White House and you know this will
be a unique affair. The restaurant inhabits a stunning 1909 Victorian-style
home, a historic landmark featuring 12 private dining rooms, and makes you feel
as though you’re dining with the President and First Lady. The menu features
the most delectable selections of fresh seafood, steaks, veal, lamb, and delicacies influenced by celebrity owner Bruno Serato’s frequent visits to his hometown of Verona, Italy. What’s
more, the award-winning wine cellar offers up over 200 Californian and European
wines – and the assortment of luscious specialty desserts will satisfy even the
most discerning sweet tooth.
Caterina’s Girls It 2003, the inaugural meeting of Caterina’s Girls Club was
held at the Anaheim White House. It had been Bruno’s dream to honor his mother,
Caterina, by creating a charity in her name. Since its formation, Caterina’s
Girls Club has raised over a quarter of a million dollars for the Boys and
Girls Clubs of Anaheim. From transportation vans for the children of the Boys
and Girls Clubs, to free dental clinics, and one-on-one tutoring, the generous
donations of Caterina’s members have made quite an impact. Not to mention that
presently, Caterina’s Girls Club serves 100 hot meals to underprivileged
children nightly.
Celebrity Sightings While we like to think of Bruno Serato as the most famous
face of the Anaheim White House, the list of celebrities who have graced the
dining room with their presence is equally impressive. Former Presidents Jimmy
Carter and George W. Bush. Gwen Stefani. Danny DeVito. Sydney Poitier. Dan Marino. Roger Clemens. Madonna. Pamela Anderson. Martina Navratilova. Pele. David Beckham. And that’s just to name a few.
