Welcome! I’m excited about sharing the real Southern California with you. When I travel, I’m interested in tapping into the authentic spirit and story of the places I visit. If that’s how you like to travel, follow me. We’ll be checking out museums, cultural and historic sites, unique experiences and beautiful natural places—all of which help tell the story of this place and exemplify the Southern California experience.

This is a big region and it can be a little daunting. But I’m a native—in fact, a 4th generation Californian. I grew up by the ocean in Los Angeles County, married a San Diego native and we’ve lived in Orange County for 25 years. So we’ve got the territory covered.

I’m a freelance writer and consultant with a professional background managing theatres, museums, symphonies and arts councils. California history is also a personal passion. My husband’s a film and TV guy, who has followed an active production career with a career that teaches the craft to the next generation. When we’re not engaged in professional or cultural pursuits, we’re outside hiking, bicycling, kayaking, enjoying the many local food and wine experiences the state has to offer, and being curious explorers ourselves.

My goal is to enrich your experience of the real Southern California. So, let’s go!
