Captain Awesome

Hi there! I’m Lorenzo Canales, a.k.a. Captain Awesome. I’m a nerd and a permanent resident of Huntington Beach, but you won’t see me with a pocket protector or a surfboard. A software engineer by day and art student by night, I’m someone who loves trying out all venues of life. My many hobbies include collecting designer toys, cruising around in my mini cooper, typography, and design. But my true loves also include: shopping, fashion, stationary, photography, eating, and gung-fu tea. While at first I come across as a technical individual, my interests are as eclectic as I am eccentric.

When people think of Orange County they imagine our amazing beaches, but trust me, there’s so much more to our culture. I’ll show you the best place in Westminster to eat Pho, amazing sushi bars, affordable and delicious French cuisine, the best places to get gently worn designer jeans, and more than you’d ever imagine about tea. So come with me on a journey through my most loved small shops, “anti malls”, and Asian restaurants. You’re guaranteed a unique view of Orange County.
